This project started from the art show as the same name hosted at The Hub Arts Collective in Vernon, British Columbia, in February 2013. The installation show was scheduled to be presented at a local gallery, but was pulled after being deemed at inappropriate. Another local group, Gallery Vertigo, disagreed and showed the project in June 2014 along with another artist for Dear Diary, where diary entries were posted with the pieces to give more information. The installation show has since expanded to this website and, of course, more art.
Though some of the images may be disturbing, the artist insists they are supposed to be. "We should be disturbed. We should be upset about these missing lives. And we need to do something about it."
